Scrabble board games have been popular since their conception. They are a great way to stretch your mind, and people who love words usually cite this game as one of their favorites. For people who aren’t good with words, this game can be an excellent learning tool.

There are many versions of Scrabble board games now. The original is still the most popular, but there is now travel Scrabble, Scrabble “Upwords” in which you build words vertically instead of on a flat surface, and Scrabble Junior, which is easier for young children to play. Scrabble also comes as one of the games included in many game tables.

If kids are introduced to Scrabble board games very early, and are encouraged to play them, it can really help their thinking skills. Not only does it promote good spelling skills, it also encourages individuals to learn and retain a lot of words in their vocabulary. Strange letters are worth more, so kids are pushed toward bigger and better words instead of small and simple words.
