Monopoly board games

The Monopoly board game has really become an American institution. It is one of the best loved games in this country, and has been copied many times. But no matter how many imitators show up, the name brand Monopoly is always the favorite.

It was originally brought out by Parker Brother in 1935. It was based on another game that has come out in 1904. In the original Monopoly board game your objective is to buy real estate, build houses and hotels, charge rent, and eventually bankrupt all your opponents.

Many different themes have been put to the Monopoly board game and released for sale. For a long time it took many years for new versions to come out, and they were still real-estate based. The “Las Vegas” edition is a good example of this. Now there are versions of the game that revolve around aviation, cars, horses, dogs, and many other popular themes.
