Board games FAQs
Are there simplified versions of some classic
games that I can share with my kids?
Many games such as Scrabble and Monopoly have come out with versions
specifically for children. These versions introduce the game to your
child and teach them how they work. This makes it easier and more fun
for your child to move up to the more advanced games.
What kinds of games are good for parties?
While there are many “party games,” you are the best person
to answer this question. Who is coming to your party? What are their
interests? Trivia games and charade-type games can be great, but if
you don’t think any of your friends will like them, then they
probably aren’t the best choice. Look into the many types of games
available and see if something jumps out at you.
How can I make things more fair when groups are playing games?
If you are dealing with a group of children, getting a game that revolves
around luck may be a good choice, because this gives everyone the chance
to win. Also, having small prizes for the losers will teach them to
take defeat well. If you are playing a game with a group of adults,
it depends on the game. If you are playing something that requires some
artistic ability, see if your artistic guests are willing to pair up
with someone who has little artistic skill. Things like this promote
mingling and even the abilities of the teams out.
